I am Isabelle —A Mom Shining Through the Hard Stuff

Hey there! I’m Isabelle, a mom who’s been in the trenches of motherhood just like you. I’ve faced the kind of overwhelm that leaves you hiding in the bathroom for a moment of quiet, the unique challenges of parenting a special needs child, and the fear and exhaustion of battling cancer while still trying to show up for my family. There were days I felt like I was failing—like I couldn’t possibly be the mom my kid deserved. I wrestled with anxiety, guilt, and the constant feeling of not being enough. But through every dark moment, I found a light that never faded: my faith in Christ.

When I was at my lowest, God’s Word became my lifeline. Philippians 4:13—“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”—wasn’t just a verse; it was a promise I clung to when I didn’t know how I’d get through the day. Prayer became my sanctuary, even if it was just 30 seconds whispered between diaper changes and doctor appointments. Over time, with the Lord’s never ending love and support, I discovered practical strategies that helped me find my footing again—things like decluttering my home to declutter my mind, using pictograms to connect with my child in ways words couldn’t, and leaning on therapy to heal wounds I didn’t even realize I was carrying.

I started Light for Moms because I know how heavy motherhood can feel, and I want you to know you’re not alone. This space is for every mom who’s struggling—whether it’s anxiety, depression, parenting challenges, or just the daily grind of feeling like you’re not enough. I’m here to share what’s worked for me: faith-filled encouragement rooted in God’s love, practical strategies to make your days a little lighter, and the hope that comes from knowing we’re all reflecting Christ’s light together (Matthew 5:16—“Let your light shine”). I’m so glad you’re here, mama—let’s walk this journey together and shine brighter, one day at a time.
